Nanhai silk factory, founded in 1966, is the only silk reeling factory in the Pearl River Delta. It witnessed the development of national industry after the founding of the People’s Republic of China. It is a living fossil of the development of sericulture and silk weaving industry in the Pearl River Delta. Here, we can learn about the whole life of silkworm and how silk is produced.
Songtang village is located in Xiqiao Town, Foshan City. The village was built in the Song Dynasty and has a history of 800 years. It moved south from Zhuji Lane in Shaoguan. The historical buildings in the village fully reflect the “three carvings and one sculpture” of Lingnan architectural art, and have high historical and artistic value.
Songtang village has a prosperous literary style and a large number of talents. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, nearly 30 scholars were admitted, four of whom joined the Imperial Academy of the Qing Dynasty. Therefore, Songtang village has the reputation of “imperial village”.
Tingyin Lake Resort is mainly composed of two lakes, Jinhu Lake and Tingyin lake. The two lakes have a drop of more than 6 meters and a length of more than 200 meters. It is the widest urban waterfall in China. It is a famous local cultural and leisure area.
